I found the most amazing doll maker a few month back and I purchased several of her patterns and simply adore them. Her name is Deena’s from Deena’s Country Hearth.

Deena is a mom of 4 grown kids and has been playing with dolls all my life!… She was very lucky to have a mom who taught her to sew at a very young age, so she could make her own dolls clothes.. In 1989 she started designing her own dolls and selling finished dolls, through a company called “Country Neighbors”…Shortly after starting that, She started doing her doll patterns. As the years have gone by her dolls have developed a goofy kind of personality with no two alike! I am very sure you will find one that makes YOU smile, as they make me each and every time I visit her shop and make one from her patterns!

For a while now I have wanted to design a fun and unique creation to call my own and build a whole new collection with to share with everyone whom enjoys odd little characters as I do. So with the help of my youngest daughter we came up with GobbleGoos!

What is a GobbleGoo you ask?
Well you will be excited to meet them as they are a unique and whimsically designed family of fun creatures & critters that go around gobbling up holiday and seasonal cheer to spread the whole year through. They have large feet and big ears with 3 eyes and will surely win your heart. If you have one in your home you will always have fun and festive enjoyment throughout the seasons as they change.

She is done in polymer clay and loves her blankie & pacifier…….

I have a busy couple of weeks ahead with finishing up custom orders, the start of school, and football practice with the kids so please be patient as this new collection will have allot of fun creations such as clay sculptured GobbleGoos, I am tweaking the pattern for the cloth doll GobbleGoos and hope to get one finished next week to share, I have some cute ornaments, charms and earrings in the works and so much more.

What a long start to the month…….

It has been a long couple of weeks around here with the start of football and my daughter Summer deciding to join this year. 2 hour practices ever night and games on Saturdays. And the heat does not help when sitting out there. She cannot be a little princess instead she would rather be slammed into the ground by a group of big boys that have every intent to slaughter her since the teams they play against do not even know she is the only girl on the team till she takes off her helmet…… During practice she was picked up 3 feet from the ground and slammed right on her back, but got back up and continued. I guess that is spirit? Felt it that night though while sleeping on a heating pad…. LOL ……..

I have a few new clay piece to share and they are already SOLD sorry :o(
As soon as they get there final paint touch-ups they are off to there new homes.

Crafty Creator Of The Month……..

Hello I have been wanting to do something different here.
So I decided to do a Crafty Creator Of The Month
post to give a big shout out to those wonderful and talented crafty creators whom design and create amazing products.
To start out this month I decide to give a shout to my good friend
Stephanie over at Dog Bows Unlimited

She makes the cutest and most amazing bows ever !
She specializes in high quality handmade dog show bows for the yorkie, shih tzu, maltese, lhasa apso, silky terrier, poodle and any long hair breed dog. And her bows are not just for the show dog, she has show bows as well as everyday bows and hoilday bows. All of her dog bows are made from the highest quality materials and all embellishments are sewn on the dog bows, not glued.

They even work well for decorating dolly dresses and to put in there hair ;o)

Now how this will work……
Each month I will feature a new designer, artist, crafter ect. And I will give them a big shout out via here on my blog, on twitter, and on facebook. I will also add the Creator Of The Month button to my sidebar for all to see the entire month.

Oh Heidi loves to go for walks on brisk afternoons with her piggy, and her grammy has made her the most adorable hooded coat for doing so. She will be nice and warm in it, so not to catch a cold.
